Willie Nelson was inspired to mount his “On the Road Again Tour,” thanks to an inspired solution offered by his team after COVID-19 Pandemic forced them away from hosting his annual Fourth of July picnic this year. As a result, they came up with an outlaw Music Festival tour across America featuring every show as Willie headlines with different supporting artists on every date of his tour. This has become his touring vehicle over time spanning 17 cities spanning across North America.
Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead, who opened for CCR at Woodstock, Wolf Bros. and jam band darlings String Cheese Incident and Gov’t Mule are touring this year with Outlaw Music Festival; Los Lobos’ Elizabeth Cook will also make appearances at various dates.
