Red Rocks Amphitheatre is an essential destination for music enthusiasts. Witnessing world-class musicians perform under the stars with prehistoric rocks as their backdrop is truly unforgettable.

The venue boasts exceptional acoustics. Whether it is U2’s “Under a Blood Red Sky,” Warren Haynes of Widespread Panic or another performance on those skyscraper rocks, music’s sound reverberates with unforgettable force.

History

Red Rocks Park has long been an attraction to dinosaurs, ancient tribes and settlers, industrial businessmen, architects, geologists, nonprofit organizations and music lovers of all kinds – dinosaurs included! Over millennia of geologic forces combined with money donated from Cosmopolitan magazine founder John Brisben Walker and Denver parks manager George Cranmer who employed young men through federal work relief programs of the New Deal (work relief) to build this venue in 1936 by Burnham Hoyt (design of Red Rocks Park was designed in 1936).

Today, this venue offers much more than just live performances; it now hosts events like Yoga on the Rocks and Film on the Rocks that combine live concerts with drive-in movie screenings; these and other unique experiences await at this historic landmark.

Music has always been the star attraction at The Royal Albert Hall; from Fab Four’s inaugural show there in 1964 to U2’s famed 1983 performance of their Sunday Bloody Sunday video, musicians have long taken advantage of its exceptional acoustics. Notable acts have graced this stage over its history; pop-culture icons have even left their mark by signing its walls backstage service tunnel!

No matter if this will be your first or sixth visit to Red Rocks, arriving early and prepared is key for an enjoyable concert experience. Make sure that you bring along any merchandise from past Red Rocks concerts you might own as well as tickets as soon as the venue opens up for concert seating seating – otherwise long lines could develop quickly when doors open for seating!

Take note of your elevation at 6,500 feet; be mindful to drink responsibly (designated drivers or alternative transportation options are recommended), and dispose of waste properly at the designated receptacles so as to preserve this natural wonder for future music fans.

Once the show has ended, take some time to explore the park or trails or visit the museum – there’s so much going on at this world-famous attraction that there could be another performance by your favorite musician on stage! You never know!

Red Rocks’ legendary acoustics and natural beauty draw music lovers from across genres to concerts here, whether they are experiencing their first show there or returning often – either way, seeing one will leave lifelong memories.
