Geological forces took millions of years to fashion the breathtaking terrain at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, but just several years to bring it alive as a concert venue. Denver architect Burnham Hoyt designed its outdoor stage while Civilian Conservation Corps and Works Progress Administration programs provided unemployed young men work relief from 1935 to 1941 in building it.
Mother Nature created a natural amphitheater from rocks and stone over time to form an incredible acoustic environment, inspiring musicians, hikers and outdoor enthusiasts from around the globe. Today this breathtaking location serves as a destination for movies, Easter sunrise services, weddings, graduations, family outings and daily workouts alike.

The Seating Options
An average concertgoer should expect that a standard reserved seat offers them an outstanding view of the stage, though there may be seats with limited or restricted views; be sure to read any ticket seller notes prior to buying tickets.
Upgrade to a VIP box or suite and experience premium seating with a center stage view that enhances the experience for you and up to 20 of your guests comfortably. These spots can accommodate 16-20 guests.
Parking benefits come with VIP status: those holding VIP tickets gain entry to the upper South lot, bypassing any longer walks from lower lots to the amphitheater.
Bathroom breaks at Red Rocks are essential! There are four sets available so take a breather by heading down one of the stairs to any of them for some peace and quiet. When thirst strikes, download the Red Rocks app to order drinks immediately without waiting in line! Lastly, bring sunblock and wear comfortable shoes – you’ll be dancing all night!
The Amphitheater’s Atmosphere
Slug’s delight at witnessing such an enthusiastic response to his music filled the venue with an overwhelming sense of shared purpose, lending Slug’s performance an almost ritualistic quality.
