Norah Jones is a multiple GRAMMY award-winning musician and pianist. In her podcast series she brings in guests for spontaneous musical collaborations.

She is also an accomplished singer with an expansive repertoire, going far beyond her 2002 debut album Come Away With Me to experiment musically in various genres and collaborate with artists across genres.

Her debut album Come Away With Me

Norah Jones’ romantic songs provide an indispensable soundtrack for many romantically charged moments, which explains why her debut album of R&B-influenced soulful jazz fusion sold over 10 million copies and garnered multiple Grammy awards in 2002.

Norah Jones first came to attention through her album‘s opening track ‘Don’t Know Why,’ featuring its soft piano melody and minimalist music video depicting her wandering on a beach. This track became her signature tune and earned three of Norah Jones’ six personal Grammy awards.

The rest of this record floats with soothing acoustic strumming and infectious slide guitar lines.

Her second album Feels Like Home

Jones manages to capture her emotions with layers of poetry and innovative musical textures for a truly emotive album experience.

Jones manages to create music that deals with existential dread, hope in darkness and the heartache of heartbreak with dignity and grace. Visions is her most accomplished album to date as she proves both her stellar vocal talent and emotive songwriting are true strengths.

Her third album Not Too Late

Jones took a different approach when creating Not Too Late than she had on previous albums, Feels Like Home and Come Away With Me. Instead of writing most songs herself or co-writing most with co-writers, she took full responsibility herself in writing or co-writing most.

NPR’s Susan Stamberg visited her in New York as she assembled a band and prepared for a private performance for friends. This recording is darker, thornier and funnier than those that made her famous – yet maintains an intimate sound like that of small group of musicians in one room.

Her fourth album The Fall

Norah Jones’ The Fall marks a dramatic departure from her first three albums’ piano-led ballads. Working with producer Jacquire King (who previously collaborated with Tom Waits), Norah explores new soundscapes of clanging guitars, loping rhythms and late night grooves while immersing her husky voice into them all.

Noorah Shankar, daughter of Beatles-influenced sitar maestro Ravi Shankar, adds her jazzy flair to country, folk and Americana tunes as well as modern light jazz, pop and rock material. She collaborates regularly with Ryan Adams of Okkervil River’s Will Sheff as well as session masters Joey Waronker and Marc Ribot.

Her fifth album Little Broken Hearts

Norah Jones defied expectations with her 2013 collaboration with producer Danger Mouse on Little Broken Hearts, earning rave reviews from SPIN as “the second essential record of her career”. Now 10 years on, Blue Note Records are honoring this album‘s 10th anniversary by unveiling an expanded 31-track Deluxe Edition chosen by Norah herself and Eli Wolf curated especially for this anniversary release.

The show began with an energetic rendition of “Paradise,” an uptempo track designed to set the scene during slow dance scenes in romantic comedies. She then performed deeper into her back catalog including wistful ballad “All This Time,” featuring Jones sounding weathered yet hopeful.

Her sixth album Day Breaks

Norah Jones returns to her signature sound with this album after exploring different genres for some time, creating compositions which gently tip-toe around jazz convention while remaining accessible and relaxing for listeners.

Her band seems perfectly attuned to the variety of styles and genres she employs on this record, demonstrating their comfort with material such as “Tragedy” and “Flipside”, both which could easily fit into 70s Motown soul genre.

Visions marks a new phase in Norah Jones’ life as she faces its ups and downs with grace and emotion.

Her seventh album Visions

Norah Jones may be most widely known for her incredible voice and jazz-influenced lounge tunes. But this talented songwriter is constantly exploring her musical options: she dabbled with cinematic rock with Danger Mouse, established a country band and even featured on an Outkast track!

Visions marks her ninth album for Blue Note Records and first original material since 2020’s criminally overlooked seventh set, Pick Me Up Off The Floor. Working alongside producer Leon Michels, Visions features twelve songs that showcase an artist at her peak.
